I don’t really know where to start. Maybe the most appropriate thing would be to apologize for my lack of presence here on Fashion Conspiracy. Life has been busy and super exciting these past few months and finding the time to blog, with the addition of not having a photographer, I just haven’t been able to post.

An update from me: I live in New York now, working as the marketing manager for a Fintech company. I love my job, it’s challenging, interesting and rewarding. Besides that, living in NYC is such a dream. I never thought I would live and work in New York, but it’s been such an adventure. I try my best to discover as much of the city, and keep trying to check off things on my NYC adventure list.

If you follow me on Instagram, it’s easier to keep you posted as I post there daily.

I am currently in Finland, at an airport, waiting for my flight back to Norway and tomorrow I’m flying back to NYC. It’s going to be great getting back. The fall is a little bit like January in a sense. It’s a time for re-invention, getting organized and setting goals. One of my goals for August is posting again. I’m telling you, so you can help keep me accountable too;)!

Talk soon!

Some snaps from my Instagram lately

First off, I am so sorry for my absence here on the blog. I have had major trouble with my website login and had to engage the tech support for my hosting site to figure out what was wrong. Apparently there was a bug in my design that prohibited me from login into my site. I am still having trouble with error messages when I attempt to upload any photographs. Hopefully, this will be resolved at the end of today.

So, what’s new? So many things. The biggest thing probably being that I am now a college graduate (!!) I still can’t believe I have a bachelor’s degree. It’s so bitter sweet, on the one hand I have been looking forward to being “in the real world” for a long time, dreaming about having an interesting, fun and challenging job, but on the other hand, I don’t feel like I am done with Austin just yet, and I definitely miss living there. It’s weird spending the last several years of your life, knowing your next move, your schedule for the next semester, classes you are taking, jobs you want to apply for, activities you do in school. Everything is safe and planned ahead for you, although I did choose many spontaneous and unorthodox plans for myself, like packing up and moving half way around the world, it’s still weird to go into a time and place in my life where I have almost no plans and so much freedom. I can move wherever, apply for exciting jobs in a different country or apply for grad school somewhere new, I am so excited by this freedom to lay new plans and take opportunities that come my way, overall I am thrilled about what 2016 has in store for me.

I am back in Norway, as I write this. I have been working full-time since December in Stavanger and for the past few days I have been in Oslo. I am here visiting Alex who is kicking ass working on his music career (if you haven’t checked out his music, you must. Follow this link) and at a marketing firm. It’s his 23rd birthday today, so we’ll have a fun day cooking together, spending time with family, opening gifts and sneaking in a date night tonight. Oslo is so gorgeous in the winter, everything is covered with a layer of snow, this place truly looks like a winter wonderland. Hopefully, I’ll be able to capture how pretty it looks and post some photos on here for you to see.

As I fix the troubles with my site and hosting site, I’ll post much more on here. I have so many fun looks saved on my computer just waiting to be posted on here.

Stay tuned.

Q&A Answers

June 13, 2013

Why did you start to blog?
I wanted a platform where I could share photos, articles and Lookbook’s that I felt inspired by. These last 7 months combined with the feedback I have gotten from my readers have helped shaped my blog into a more personal aspect of style than what was originally planned.

Do you have a style icon, if so, who?
I probably have more than one (a lot more!), but if I had to stick to just one it would be Miroslava Duma. She never stops to amaze with her colorful, classic and electric sense of style!

Do you read other blogs?
Yes, I am such a blog addict! Some of my all time favorites are:
Fashionsquad, theblondesalad, Garypepper and bycelina.

Which outfits of yours is your all time favorite?
I would say these three, they all (in different ways)  have so much energy :-)

ImageImageImage

Do you go to College? Where?
Yes, I just finished my freshman year of college in Norway and I am moving to Austin, TX for my three final years at the University of Texas, Austin (pinch me!).

Image

Where are you from?
I am from Norway

You always wear heels so it is hard to estimate your height, how tall are you?
I am around 160 cm so 5.2

Image

What clothing company has the best quality compared to their prices?
I would say Zara, they have great quality products at affordable prices

Which low-price retailer do you prefer? Eg: H&M, Primark, Lindex.
I LOVE primark, although their quality tends to suffer when the prices are as low as they are. But hey, if I pay 5 pounds for a pair of shoes I’m fine with them falling apart in a year.

I included some questions I have gotten often in the comment section, hope you got some answers and thank you so much for being lovely readers! I love your feedback:-)

Right now, I am doing the insanity work outs which yes… are exactly as crazy as it sounds. After about 40 minutes you have already burned between 800-1000 calories. That’s crazy right? I am extremely happy with the workouts as of right now (if you count the daily soreness of literally every single muscle in my body, that I cannot (for shit) feel my butt or that I am eating salad and salad (and avocadoes) all day..) but, hey. Beachbody2013 eeh?

I’ve always been a little skeptical about maxi anything well skirts that is or dresses and even trench coats for that matter. But despite that, I’ve had a bunch of long dresses sitting in my closes just gathering dust, so I decided to try it (after some heavy inspiration from the queens of maxi: Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen of course) And  I actually ended up liking it a lot, at least paired with some high stilettos and a half long coat. Being 5.4 I usually feel extremely short in long dresses or skirts, so wearing a pair of heels with this maxi dress really made the difference!

I guess I am just very old fashioned, but whenever I travel I always dress up. I always wear heels and usually a pair of huge shaded sunglasses and sometimes just for the heck of it a ginormous hat. I told my grandma this and she said: “Well, of course. One never travels casually”. amen, grandma. Amen.

What I am Wearing:
Dress – H&M
boots – Zara
Bag – Michael Kors
Sunglasses – Chanel
Coat – Zara
Watch – Michael Kors
